For this reason, users are reluctant to change their iPhones often and can instead rely on replacing the battery at a fraction of the cost!
We’ve put together a list of the best batteries to buy when you want to replace the old one, as well as some tips on how to go about the replacement, and how you can get the most out of your new battery.
How to get the most out of your iPhone 6S?
There are certain tips you can keep in mind to get the most out of your iPhone 6S Battery Replacement.
- Make sure to completely drain the new battery for the first 3 times before you begin changing again. This allows the battery to reach its optimum usage while delivering full performance and longevity.
- Always use original iPhone chargers made specifically for the iPhone 6S as cheap or fake chargers can damage the battery’s performance.
- It is best advised to not use the phone while it is being charged.
- Even though the battery has over-charging protection, you should not keep it for charging after it reaches 100%.
- Phones are best used in temperatures higher than 5℃ and should never be used under the harsh sun to keep the replacement battery performance optimized.

How to replace the Apple iPhone 6S Battery?
Things you will need -
Small Phillips screwdriver
Small flat-head screwdriver
Plastic opening tools
Suction cup
Spudger
SIM card ejection tool
Fine tip curved tweezers
iPhone 5-point Pentalobe screwdriver
A heat gun or a blow dryer
Step 1 -
Start by turning off the Apple iPhone 6S and remove the bottom screws with a Pentalobe screwdriver.
Step 2 -
With the suction cup, lift the screen up slightly and use a pry tool for lifting up the metal frame of the screen without bending it.
Step 3 -
Before you can completely remove the screen from the phone’s frame, remove the 5 screws on the metal plate. Next, remove the 4 ribbon cables by lightly snapping them off from the mainboard and the screen is finally loose from the phone.
Step 4 -
The battery is held down by a ribbon cable under the small metal plate attached with 2 screws. Remove those and unclip the tiny battery connector.
Step 5 -
The battery is strongly glued inside the phone so use a heat gun or a blow dryer to warm up the phone a little bit from the back to let the heat seep through to the glue.
Step 6 -
Pry the battery up but be careful to not slip or damage anything important on the side of the phone. These are strong adhesive holding the battery in place so it might take a while to carefully get it out.
Step 7 -
You can now easily replace the old battery for a new one and start putting the phone back together in reverse order!
